Privacy policy
MedTrip Korea (https://medtripkorea.com) is an information website. We collect as little as the site can function with.
What we collect
- Nothing you type into the cost calculator or tick on the trip checklist. Both run entirely in your browser. Your numbers and ticks are saved in your own browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back; they are never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data, or the Reset button on each tool, removes them. If you copy a link to an estimate, the numbers are in that link.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact or question form, we receive what you write and the address you give us, and we use it only to reply. Form messages are delivered to us by email, or through Telegram's Bot API when that delivery route is configured; either way the message is stored only in that inbox.
- Standard server logs. The hosting provider records pages requested, approximate region, browser type and referring site in its access logs. We do not run a separate analytics script on the site. Search Console data from Google shows us which searches led people here, in aggregate, and we use that to decide what to write next.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, want, or store medical information, identity documents, or payment details. Please do not send medical records or scans of documents through the form.
Advertising and cookies
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies, including the DoubleClick advertising cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. How Google uses data when you use a partner site is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, through the consent notice that Google provides for that purpose, and you can change your choice later from the same notice. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising through the same Google Ads Settings link above; we do not sell personal information ourselves.
Affiliate links
Some links to travel services — accommodation, transport, SIM cards, insurance — are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. These links never point to a medical provider, and they do not affect what we write. Affiliate partners set their own cookies; their privacy policies apply on their sites.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser; the site works without them. To ask what we hold about you, or to have a message you sent us deleted, write to t4n0321@gmail.com and we will act on it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
